The Bernstein Teething Necklace

Should I as a Mother worry about my Baby wearing a Bernstein Teething Necklace?

No, being Mothers of young children ourselves we were naturally concerned about our babies wearing a necklace! All our research indicates that there has never been a reported accident with a baby or young child wearing a Bernstein Teething necklace. It is worn under the clothing and is not visible.  We suggest that your child wear the necklace until they are at least 3-4 years when the rear molars have erupted. As the necklace has no history in this country, it has only been sold via word of mouth and the growth in sales and positive feedback, and, of course, our own personal experiences leave us in no doubt to the value of this amazing necklace.

What are the necklaces made of?

Our necklaces are made from the very best Amber available and have been round polished and are threaded onto a special silk thread and closed with a childproof gold-plated clasp.

Are all necklaces in the market place the same?

We learnt that it is essential that beads rub against one another to gain maximum benefit of the negative-electro loading that produces the healing effect.

Beware of necklaces that have knots in the threading between  the beads. This is usually done to reduce the number of Amber Beads to make the necklaces, therefore they become cheaper to produce. There are a huge range of clasps available, always check that it is childproof (screw versions are not recommended). Again always check what the beads are actually threaded onto and ensure it is not something that will react with the baby's skin.

What else should I know about the Necklace?

Amber is a Bio-transmitter comparable to aromatherapy and homeopathy.  The necklace is worn under the clothing next to the skin.  It is best worn all the time removing only to clean or when the child is swimming or bathing. In our experience the child rarely touches or fiddles with the necklace.  When the Amber is rubbed against cloth it stores an electro-negative charge, it is this stored charge that produces the healing effect. Similar to that of a copper bracelet worn by an arthritis sufferer.

What do I need to know about the Care of the Necklace?

Please remove the necklace before swimming or bathing.  Whilst the necklace will cope with getting wet, we have experienced that the chlorine and other chemicals used in swimming and spa pools and the detergents in bath soaps and shampoos are having a detrimental effect on the silk threading.  Once the necklace is wet it is essential that the necklace be removed and completely dried before it is re-worn.

For the hygiene of your infant the necklace must be removed and cleaned regularly.  Using a soft cloth gently wipe clean each individual bead of Amber.  The necklace can be rinsed in clean spring water (no chlorine, detergents please!) and left to dry in the sunlight.  Keep the storage box with the soft pad for storing the necklace when it is not being used.
